GMAT备考 | SC常见最优选的同位语结构你掌握了吗？

GMAT考试中，SC句子改错，同位语很重要，基础较好的同学应该已经了解了同位语是什么，怎么用的，但是基础弱的同学可能会对这个语法结构比较陌生。但如果你想要在句子改错题目上得到较好的分数，那么是一定要清楚同位语的用法的，而且同位语结构在SC中通常都是优选的正确选项，因为这种结构表义是最清楚的。

OK，对于同位语的好印象咱们先立住，接下来我们详细了解下同位语。

这道题相信大部分同学主要的问题是不清楚每个选项结构改变后产生的语义变化，如果仅从语法的角度判断的话，除了CE选项有语法错误之外，其它选项都是没有语法错误的，所以重点还是要区分语义差别。

解题要点

同学们在备考GMAT时，SC部分首先我们要了解下同位语的概念：一个名词(或其它形式)对另一个名词，代词或句子进行解释或补充说明，这个名词（或其它形式）就是同位语。同位语除表示其同位成分的全部意义外，还可以表示部分意义。概念比较抽象，我们还是看几个例子来加深理解：

1. 对前面的名词做同位解释说明：

(1). The disappearance of lifestyles such as those once followed by southern Africa’s Bushmen and Australia’s Aboriginal people, lifestyles requiring vast wild spaces and permitting little accumulation of goods, seems inevitable.

(2). I have many books, some of them borrowed from library.

(3). The huge organization that operates the company's basic businesses will be divided into five groups, each with its own executive.

2. 对前面的句子做同位解释说明：

While studying the genetic makeup of corn, Barbara McClintock discovered a new class of mutant genes, a discovery that led to greater understanding of cell differentiation.

题目解析

接下来我们来分析下这道题目：

题目：

Since the 1930s aircraft manufacturers have tried to build airplanes with frictionless wings, shaped so smoothly and perfectly that the air passing over them would not become turbulent.

A. wings, shaped so smoothly and perfectly

B. wings, wings so smooth and so perfectly shaped

C. wings that are shaped so smooth and perfect

D. wings, shaped in such a smooth and perfect manner

E. wings, wings having been shaped smoothly and perfectly so

解析：

语义：自上世纪30年代以来，飞机制造商一直试图制造出机翼无摩擦的飞机，机翼如此光滑、形状如此完美，以至于通过机翼的空气不会产生湍流。

原句主干：Since the 1930s（时间状语） aircraft manufacturers have tried to build airplanes with frictionless wings（主句）, shaped so smoothly and perfectly that the air passing over them would not become turbulent.

A选项，shaped so smoothly修饰不当，塑形的十分顺滑，逻辑语义不合理，smooth就是wings本身的质感顺滑，跟shape什么形状没有关系。

B选项正确，副词perfectly修饰过去分词shaped，形容词smooth修饰wings，（wings so smooth and so perfectly shaped）这部分整体是前面wings的同位语，有同学会有疑问说为什么要把wings再写一遍，这个其实不需要有疑问，一方面这是同位语表达的结构之一，另一方面这种结构也是最优表达，因为修饰最清晰，绝对不会有歧义。

C选项，shape在这里做动词，应该用副词修饰。

D选项，smooth manner修饰不当，顺滑的方式逻辑语义不合理。

E选项，having been shaped语法错误，having done/ having been done不能紧跟在名词后面做后置定语。

方法总结

了解了同位语之后，你会发现这个知识点其实不难，之后在练习题目的时候注意识别并根据语义判断即可。
